It is delivered with its own manometer (pressure gauge) and pressure guide chart, allowing easy and accurate inflation in complete autonomy. This cushion ensures maximum contact with seating surface by moulding itself to protuberances of the sacrum area. This results in an extremely effective reduction of transcutaneous pressure values in the buttock area. Moreover, Polyair is equally effective as a weapon against the effect of maceration, friction and shear as a result of : aeration channels between cells, decrease in tissue deformation, increased stability as a result of its honeycomb design. As a consequence, Polyair is an effective solution in the prevention of pressure sores in high-risk areas and assists in the healing of previously formed sores. Polyair 60 is best suited to smaller, somewhat active patients independently able to shift their weight and requiring little or no assistance with transfer.
